About the Program

Through the NFL Youth Football Fund (YFF) NFL Coaches Camp Grant Program, grants of up to $4,000 are awarded to free, non-contact youth football clinics and camps organized by current NFL coaches. This program recognizes NFL coaches who give back to communities in their hometowns or team cities while also illustrating how coaches set positive examples for young football participants by emphasizing sportsmanship and involvement in community-wide charitable projects.

Detailed Requirements

The following information provides an outline of this grants requirements and information you will need to supply to successfully apply for this grant. We suggest you read this thoroughly before proceeding forward.

• Only current NFL coaches may apply.
• Based on approved applications, only one grant per camp will be awarded regardless if there are multiple NFL coaches hosting the camp.
• An NFL coach may apply for a NFL Coaches Camp Grant for each camp he hosts.
• Camps must be non-contact and completely free of charge for youth participants.
• Camps must offer at least four hours of activities (either in a single day session or over several days).
• Each camp must be established in the NFL coach applicant's name and be organized and attended by the coach.
• NFL coaches must verify existence of a separate camp bank account - The NFL Youth Football Fund will not issue grant checks to personal bank accounts.
• NFL coach applicants must utilize USA Football accredited coaches to help coach and supervise football camp activities.
• In order to be eligible for YFF Camp Grant funds, camps must be separate in nature from any promotional or for-profit activities/events scheduled to take place in conjunction with the free camp (e.g., applicants who claim to scholarship youth participants in a free camp while they also are hosting youth participants who must pay registration fees)

2012 Important Dates

Applications for NFL Coaches Youth Football Camp Grant open April 20, 2012 and close May 19, 2012.

Grant determinations will be made by 05/31/2012.
